Walking Works

Walking is comes naturally to most people. People do this every day, by putting one foot in front of the other. Yet, this simple act of walking carries with it extraordinary powers.

When your body is aching or you're ill but still need some exercise, take a walk to warm your body and get your blood circulating.

When you're feeling stuck, disappointed or helpless, take a walk to clear your mind.

When you're stuck on a problem and can't find the answer, take a walk to open up to different perspectives.

When you're suffocated by a stressful situation, take a walk and gain some (physical) distance.

When you're angry at the injustices of the world, take a walk along with others who share your cause.

Walking requires minimal preparation and almost no effort. You don't need special shoes, clothes or gear to walk. You can walk anytime, for as long or as short of a time as you'd like.

Walking gives many physical, psychological and spiritual benefits. It reminds us of our inherent dignity, fundamental freedom and an act of solidarity.

Whenever you feel stuck, walking works.
